Lodging
Block rates are available at the Novotel Canberra, in the centre of the Canberra CBD. To reserve a room at the block rate, use our dedicated booking site rather than registering on the main Novotel page.
Alternative options nearby, but which do not have block rates, include the Quest Canberra, the Avenue Hotel, and Mantra on Northbourne.
Students at the school who are have requested support for hotel accommodation should not make reservations directly with the hotel. Instead, instructions will be provided upon registration.

Venue and transportation
The meeting and school will take place in the Mount Stromlo Observatory Visitor Centre. We will provide bus service from the Novotel Canberra to the Observatory every day of the workshop and meeting. Buses will depart from the Novotel bus bay at 9:15 am every day, and will depart Mount Stromlo for return to the hotel at 5:45 pm. The ride takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Bus service is open to all registered participants. Note that the Obsevatory is not served by public transit.

Food
Lunches and coffee breaks will be provided at no cost to all attendees, and there are numerous options for breakfast and dinner near the recommended hotels. Students who are financially suppored by the school may be provided with funding for meals. Details of the conference dinner are TBD.
