17th and 18th of February 2014 at the Sydney Institute for Astronomy.
The main aims of the ANITA Theory Workshops are:
- to provide a review of Theoretical Astrophysics in Australia and a platform for current research
- to facilitate collaboration between theorists and observers
- to promote a sense of community among theoretical astrophysicists
- to educate students and enhance their opportunities in the Australian and international community
The meeting is open to everyone – you do not need to be a member of ANITA or the ASA to attend (although we do encourage you to join). We particularly encourage students and early-career researchers to attend and contribute talks. The meeting will start with an inaugural invited talk and all further talks will be contributed.
The 2014 workshop will also include a session promoting access to national computing resources and a special session on “Theory in the Decadal Plan”. There will be no formal proceedings, but contributions will be available on the web after the workshop.
Registration is free. Morning tea, light lunch and afternoon tea will be provided. There will be a dinner arranged for the Monday evening at a local restaurant, to be paid for on the night.
Please go to the Registration form to register.
This workshop will be immediately followed by the three-day N-body Summer School.
